Trust in Self

Did you ever hear about the story of the "Little Engine that could"? Angel Uzziel knows all too well how trusting self and believing in self to succeed is part of what helped a little caboose pull a train over the hill. If you repeat "I think I can" enough, you begin to believe it to be true. The fact of the matter is that when you think you can achieve something, you begin to subconsciously and actively work toward achieving the means to an end.

The journey may be tedious in some cases (not all) -- as long as you keep your focus on the goal, you will not just achieve something, but the one thing that you desire the most. What is it that you want out of life? Is it the team you want to be a part of or a subject that you want to ace? Maybe it is more complex – maybe what you really want is to realize your dream of becoming a novelist, a champion swimmer, a teacher, even an engineer. Whatever it is you want in life, you must invest enough trust in yourself to manifest the foundation on which you can build and achieve your ultimate dreams.

I am not saying that your passage is going to be without challenges. There are always going to be perils along the trail no matter how hard you try to avoid them. Sometimes the slope will not work in your favor; sometimes it will. In either case, how are you going to react? If you lose trust in your ability, you will surely fall to the wayside. But when you put trust in everything that you do, no matter how difficult the trek, you will achieve the end goal. When times are tough and you think you have reached the end of your rope, say to yourself, "I think I can." If you must, say it again and again and once again for good measure. After all else fails, you can always call upon little Angel Uzziel. Ask her to give you the strength to muster the challenges before you. Ask her to provide you with the motivation and willpower to forage onward. Nothing is impossible when you trust and believe in yourself. The angels are always with us but they will not help us unless we ask. I encourage you to ask and trust that you are being heard.

Blessings to you on your journey,

Joan Marie
